How to manage time during exam

Class 12th is a turning point in candidates' careers when they have to decide on their further studies and careers. It is the most critical juncture when students must be prepared to confront new obstacles. Therefore, they require persistence, discipline and strategy to focus on achieving the desired goals in their life.

There are some ambitious students who wish to crack competitive exams such as NEET and JEE. These exams require discipline, attention, perseverance and a clear goal to qualify. Moreover, you must follow a good strategy to get a good score in your class 12th board exam.

Here are some tips to prepare for the exam which will assist in deciding your board exam strategy. Don't copy another student in preparation but focus on your capability and don't waste your precious time to know about the other's method of preparation.

Start your own preparation and follow these tips and tricks.

Time management

Time management is the key to your preparation so you must maintain a timetable for your study and give equal time to all subjects. If you manage your time then certainly you will avoid the stress and fear which arise in the candidates' minds during the preparation for the exam.

Therefore, set a deadline line for each subject and follow it strictly only then you will be able to complete your studies within time.

Confidence

Some students had good concentration, better ideas to learn and interest in their studies but they lack confidence and always think negatively about the result. They take studies so seriously that it becomes a load or burden for them. So, try to learn with fun and add some fun activities to your learning. It's okay to take your study seriously but don't take it so seriously that it loses your confidence. Be positive always about your examination because a positive attitude towards the exam is an important fact that will lead you to crack the exam successfully.

Focus on weak areas more

Some students might be good in Art subjects but not in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics. Hence, identify the weak areas and start working on them so that these science stream subjects cannot impact the overall percentage. Most students avoid studying subjects that they don't like or are weak but this proves a bigger mistake so don't avoid the subject but work on weak areas more and turn them into strong ones.

Revision

Revision is the most important in your study to complete the syllabus within time. It's just like a final touch to your study but there is no point in completing the whole syllabus to revise. Fix your weekends for revision and revise whatever you have studied during the entire week. Make sure you complete all subjects around 2 months before the final board examination in order to make one more revision.

Making Notes

Making notes is a good habit to learn effectively so always make notes subject wise including definitions and formulas over the topics that you are studying. These notes will help you in revision at the time of examination.

Complete the syllabus on time

Read the details about the syllabus of all subjects clearly. Apart from preparing reference books, you should also prepare your syllabus books like NCERT books as these books are designed by keeping in mind the syllabus of the examination. Hence, stick with the prescribed syllabus and study accordingly.

Sample papers

Solve sample papers and previous year's question papers on a daily basis. Mark yourself as per the marking scheme after solving the paper and make a point to solve the papers provided by the officials.

Time before the exams

The time before the exam is very crucial because almost 10% of your mark depends on the night before the exam. So try to keep yourself relaxed and calm before the exam night.

Don't puzzle your mind through the notes or books but eat well and sleep properly. It will help you to wake up fresh the next morning and make you able to perform much better in the exam.

Refreshment

Exam times are highly stressful. Thus, it is important that you take proper care of your health at this time. Take proper rest and eat healthy food and indulge in activities which keep the mind calm and relaxed. If your health is not good you will not be able to handle the stress of the exam.
